Wedding Reception
At Batemans Barn our aim is to create a very relaxed family wedding day we want everyone, from great Aunts to the tiny tots, to enjoy the food and eat heartily and above all relax in our lovely surroundings and feel at home.
We also allow complete flexibility on numbers of guests and timetable for the day. Our smallest wedding has been for 11 guests which lasted for just an afternoon and our largest 160 guests which started on Friday and ended on Sunday afternoon with a picnic lunch in the grove.
The barn has been renovated using natural and traditional materials creating a warm uncluttered light space with plenty of scope for you to create you to set your own scene.
Our chairs are fully upholstered for your comfort and tables wide to allow for table decorations and formal place settings. We can comfortably accommodate 80 guest, with a top table in the barn extra guests can be seated in the adjacent courtyard, under cover, for larger buffets or bbq maximum160 guests and evening parties with simple finger buffet or cheeseboard maximum 200 guests.
Atmosphere
We work closely with you to create the right look for your reception. We ensure that on the day everything from how the tables will look, which may include; named place settings, flower arrangements, floating candles, balloons, cameras and individual favours, to making sure everyone has a glass of champagne ready to toast the bride and groom at the end of the meal.
Many couples choose to decorate the barn themselves, which is usually available the day before the wedding, and we will also be on hand to assist and receive any deliveries.
Hire fee includes: wedding co-ordination at the venue, catering staff, bar staff, barn, licensed bar, house disco, courtyard, terrace, grove and lawns, access to a ruin in Hall gardens for photographs, patio furniture, patio heaters, parasols and pagodas, fairy lights in barn, white damask tablecloths when using our tables, chairs, wine glasses, champagne flutes, water jugs and tumblers. Available if required at no extra cost tealight holders and lanterns, bunting, citronella flares for garden, glass flower vases.
Extras
If you require round tables we hire them for you at supplier’s cost price. We also hire all cutlery and crockery and cost depends on guest numbers and style of catering we never use paper plates or plastic glasses.
