Food and Drink at Batemans Barn
We love to feed people, we love to feed people their favourite dishes and we always strive for it to be delicious, plentiful and good value. We are unique in being able to offer produce from our own organic farm and walled garden and always use local, seasonal and many organic ingredients.
We have been hosting weddings for seven years and in that time we have done traditional English wedding day with canapés, a three course served meal, cake and speeches for 80 guests followed by a disco and finger buffet for 140 guests.
A romantic Italian themed day with blue and white check table cloths, a duke box and candle lit seven course Italian banquet for 67 guests.
A film themed day with pop corn and ice cream, movie posters followed by a BBQ and swing band for 120 guests, a Sunday summer wedding with champagne and strawberries followed by a traditional Sunday lunch with organic beef and lamb from our own farm for 50 guests.
An afternoon tea wedding for 40 guests with tiny sandwiches, homemade buttermilk scones, jam and clotted cream, champagne and organic leaf tea and an Indian Summer wedding with an Indian banquet served in the shade of an ancient tree under a pagoda marquee decorated with silk bunting and paper lanterns for just 20 guests.
If you want something simple but delicious for late evening party guests we do kebabs from our bbq in flat bread with crunchy salad, hot dogs, deli cheese boards or lots of delicious nibbles from around the world for maximum 200 guests.
We can offer simple canapés, traditional canapés, two and three and more courses of served meals, part served two and three course meals, buffet hot, cold or mixture of both, BBQ two courses, afternoon tea, cheese boards, simple BBQ, hot dogs and finger buffets. We can also bring in hog roast or other specialist caterer if required. We can design menus for vegetarians, vegans and allergy sufferers.
We have a fully stocked bar and bar prices are in line with our local pubs. We also source a wide range of wines and champagnes and can even design you a wedding cocktail, which you can name, to celebrate your marriage. If you wish to bring your own wine or champagne for us to chill and serve then we charge a corkage fee.
